I am always very interested in people that can take a message and carry it forward for years.  This group is headed by Chris Alexander and to put this on for athletes is so important.  It brings runners from all age groups, and I must say, Clearwater Beach is one of the most beautiful places for everyone.

It is so important that we continually show young people – Truth about Drugs – so that they in turn can make the correct choice and continue on their path of becoming strong athletes.

On November 28, 2012 – International Day of observance – Red-Ribbon Week.  The Church of Scientology – Drug Campaign – The Truth About Drugs is the largest nongovermental program of its type in the world.

Drugs are more than just another social problem. Some 120 million people at all levels of society consume illegal drugs.  Almost 200,000 die from drugs each year.

The greatest toll is on the young. Every 12 seconds another school-age child experiments with illicit drugs for the first time.  Drug use in this age group has risen steadily throughout the past decade and children are exposed to these dangerous substances at younger and younger ages.
