Under the inclusive banner “religious freedom for all, everywhere, all the time,” members of 30 diverse religious traditions joined government and nonprofit leaders for the first International Religious Freedom Summit (IRF), held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.
In his message for the day, UN Secretary-General António Guterres urged the world community to take action: “The world drug problem remains an urgent challenge that threatens to exacerbate pandemic impacts and hinder a healthy and inclusive recovery.” He called this year’s World Drug Day theme, Share facts on drugs. Save lives, “a call for solidarity.”
In support of the UN theme for International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2021, “Share Facts on Drugs, Save Lives,” and drug prevention activists who share these facts throughout the year, Scientology Network held a marathon broadcasting event featuring drug prevention programming the entire day. “About 15 years ago I was a new Scientologist and increasingly fascinated with everything my religion and our church had to offer. Being a singer and performer, I was invited to attend a week-long event for all the most active volunteers in our church who were helping their local churches and communities around the world with anti-drug, human rights and literacy campaigns, among other programs. It was a black-tie celebration of the year’s accomplishments and also a time to coordinate for the year ahead. I felt privileged to be there and to provide some of the entertainment for the guests.”

Peter Vajda has dedicated his life to reverting a blight that threatens the future of mankind: the loss of viable farmland due to pesticides and chemicals that destroy the soil.
This year’s theme is also the passion and way of life of agricultural engineer Peter Vajda. “With the population growing and productive farmland decreasing, this is a race to save future generations,” he says in an episode of Meet a Scientologist that can be viewed on the Scientology Network.
“Our soils are in horrendous shape, worldwide, not just in the U.S.,” says Kathleen Rogers, president and CEO of Earthday.org. “We’re looking at global, catastrophic misuse of our soils.”
Even though we are all keeping our distance, we are all in this together.

On Saturday, March 27th, Kansas City groups came together to work for change and end the violence as homicides now outpace 2020 numbers.
The Kansas City United in Peace Ride and Rally was organized by the Church of Scientology of Kansas City in coordination with United in Peace Foundation, The Way to Happiness Foundation, the KCOGs, PSS, Mo Solar Apps, Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, Justice & Dignity Center Coalition, One Love, Ground Level Ministries, Happy Foods, Youth Talk Spill the Tea Talk, and local car clubs.
The centerpiece of the Peace Ride is The Way to Happiness, the common-sense moral code written by humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard. The booklet promotes positive change and leads the way to a better, more peaceful life.
